Lessons from Geese

As each goose flaps it wings it creates an 'uplift' for the birds that follow

- When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone.

- When the lead goose tires, it rotates to the back into the formation and another goose flies the point position.

- The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep their speed.

- When a goose gets sick, wounded, or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to protect it.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Quote 2

"If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man's life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility."

"Tell me sir, what is a butterfly?

...It's what you are meant to become. It flies with beautiful wings and joins the earth to heaven. It drinks only nectar from the flowers and carries the seeds of love from one flower to another. Without butterflies the world would soon have few flowers."
